Welcome to the online process to register your campus organization at UC Irvine for the 2009 – 2010 academic year!
This process will require the input and electronic signature of ALL executive officers (i.e. "President and Vice President;" "Co-Presidents," or "Co-Chairs") and authorized signers for your organization.
An executive officer for your organization MUST initiate and finalize the process. Once started, authorizied signers will be notifed by e-mail to complete their sections.
The registration process has changed since last year, so please review and read each section carefully. If you run into any problems, please contact us immediately. Thank you!
Please read below for important changes made to this year’s registration process:
- The Office of the Dean of Students will no longer be accepting New Campus Organization Registrations throughout the year: Beginning Winter 2010, registration for all NEW campus organizations will be limited to Weeks 1, 2, 9, and 10 of Winter Quarter, and Weeks 1 and 2 of Spring Quarter. If you are interested in starting a New Campus Organization you must complete the online registration process before these deadlines, in order to be considered for registration.
- New and returning organizations can register online
- Faculty or staff who wish to register a group or be an Authorized Signer for an organization must register as a “Faculty/Staff” organization. This will ensure that your organization is recognized as such and that you are distinguishable from student organizations.
- If your organization does not currently have a constitution beyond the “Standard Minimum Constitutional Provisions” on file with the Office of the Dean of Students, you will be sent reminders to submit one throughout the academic year until your organization has one on file.
- The Club Sports category and Recreation category have been separated to be a more accurate representation of which groups are registered as “Club Sports” with UCI Campus Recreation
- The re-registration fee is still $35.00, however, the deadline to register your organization is October 16 (Friday of Week 3). Registration after this date will be charged a late fee of $15.00 AND any reservations you have on-campus will be cancelled and your organization will be assessed the off-campus rate for those reservations. Your organization will also not be covered by the University insurance program. So, register before October 16!
Things you should prepare before you move on…
* Every organization will be required to submit a constitution that includes the minimum constitution requirements in the 2010 – 2011 registration cycle. If you do not have one this year, you can agree to the “Standard Minimum Constitutional Provisions” but will be asked to submit an official constitution for your organization in the coming months.
